It's hard to feel sorry for anyone making a living out of selling keylogging software.

Officially, there are legitimate uses for putting software on a PC in order to monitor how that computer is being used but we can’t think of many.

A parent watching how a child is using the Internet? Companies that want to make sure their staff aren’t skiving when they’re supposed to be working? Perhaps.

A newly discovered variant of the Mitglieder family of Trojans, Mitglieder.GB, is spreading rapidly across Europe, antivirus experts warned today.

PandaLabs said the Trojan has recently overtaken Sober.AH to become the most frequently detected virus, with the greatest detection rate occuring in Europe, mainly in Poland, Belgium and France.

WASHINGTON: A fake "FBI Windows" virus is spreading on-line that may affect your PC with well-known Sober virus. It comes in a mail that claims to come from either the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or German police agency BKA and warns users they have been detected visiting illegal sites, according to the on-line edition of BBC News. The subject line of the message also claims that "You visit illegal websites" or "Your IP was logged".
