ESET Announces Support for Windows Server 2008
Antivirus Leader Also Compatible with Latest Vista and XP Service Packs
SAN DIEGO – February 27, 2008 – ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection, today announced support for Microsoft's Windows Server 2008 platform, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and Windows XP Service Pack 3. ESET’s line of award-winning security solutions, including the company’s flagship antivirus product, ESET NOD32 Antivirus, is currently available and ready to support Windows newest server product lines.
Windows Server 2008 is the latest release of Microsoft's server line of operating systems and incorporates the latest network, management and security technologies. Available in late February 2008, it is the successor to Windows Server 2003, released nearly five years earlier.
Windows Server 2008 is built on Windows Vista's NT 6.0 kernel and is reported to be Microsoft's most secure server operating system ever. Anti-malware software is a requirement for any server today and ESET's NOD32 Antivirus, with its proactive detection, represents the best fit for securing Windows Server 2008 from viruses, worms, rootkits, spyware, trojans and other threats.

Microsoft's service packs update their operating systems with all previously-issued patches, “hot-fixes” and configuration changes, sometimes introducing changes that disrupt antivirus software. ESET software presents no challenges for service pack upgrades and seamlessly integrates with the newest line of Windows Server products.
The current version of ESET's flagship security software, ESET NOD32 Antivirus, which has been shipping since December, 2007 has been tested with Windows Server 2008. Licensed customers may download this version from the ESET website.
