ESET launches the version 4.2 of its ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus for public beta testing. All main modules of ESET Smart Security – Antivirus, Antispyware, Personal Firewall and Antispam – are improved to ensure better stability and performance of the software.

The Christmas season is a busy time for all - you're busy shopping, visiting friends and family, and generally having a Merry 'ol time! We are as well - we love the Holidays - it doesn't matter if you're Christian, Jewish and any other faith - the season of holidays is busy for all of us (even those that work).

In antivirus sales, there is a big jump after Christmas, and throughout the first quarter - but January is VERY big - for families, individuals and small businesses (10 PCs and under) - we think the reasons are several:

• PCs and laptops as gifts - the accompanying antivirus is either sub-standard, or replaced at the end of it's 30 day "trial"
• End of year budget spend and new year budgets allow software purchase
• that "turn over a new leaf" syndrome gets people motivated to be a better computer user
  regardless of the reason - we're busy helping new customers and plenty of returning customers with their renewals... and it's those renewals that you have to pay attention to...

In a routine testing by Virus Bulletin, ESET antivirus has taken yet another VB100 award.

This brings the ESET Antivirus VB100 award total to 59 - still the highest of any antivirus vendor!
